Airmar P17 Plastic Low-Profile Transducer Housing

The Airmar P17 plastic housing fits the Airmar P17 depth insert, ST500, ST650, ST850 and non-valve Smart sensors. This housing does not have a valve.

Versions of this housing are available in bronze (B17) and stainless steel (SS577). Tapered versions are also available (P314, B21).

This item is the housing only and does not include a transducer insert.

Low-Profile vs Tapered Housings

A low-profile housing has a rounded cap that sits outside the hull and protrudes a short distance into the water flow. A tapered housing can be installed so that the housing is flush with the hull and nothing protrudes (except in some cases a paddlewheel). Tapered housings should only be installed by experienced professionals.
