Airmar SS270W Mix and Match Transducer SS270W-MM

The SS270W is a depth and temperature thru-hull fishfinder with an external fairing that can be cut to match the hull deadrise angle. The SS270W features identical wide 25 deg beams at 50kHz and 200kHz. Traditionally at 200kHz most transducers produce a narrow, focussed beam in which fish swimming near the boat can go unmarked. At 50Khz the beam is usually wider thus marking more fish, but the resolution and detail are not as crisp. The SS270W provides the beam coverage and resolution needed so that bluewater fisherman do not miss any fish or bait lurking close to the boat. At 200kHz, fisherman get four times the coverage area of a typical 1kW transducer.

The SS270W fits into the same fairing as the B260, allowing for easy upgrades.

This version of the transducer is a generic model that can used with any brand of fishfinder or sounder, when installed with the correct adapter for that brand of electronics (see list below). The transducer has a short 2 meter cable ending in an Airmar 9-pin connector. The adapters listed below are 8 meters long and have a matching Airmar 9-pin connector at one end and the brand-specific connector at the other. You can change the brand of your fishfinder or sounder at a later date just by changing the adapter.

This generic transducer cannot be installed without one of the adapters listed below (sold separately).
