Garmin SS60 Fishfinder Transducer SS60-20-8G

The SS60 is a 600W through-hull low-profile depth and temperature transducer with a stainless steel housing, that operates at 50kHz and 200kHz. It has a fixed (non-retractable) insert.

The 20 deg tilt transducer is suitable for deadrise angles from 16 deg to 24 deg. The ceramic element is tilted inside the transducer to compensate for the boats deadrise (angle of the hull). This aims the beam directly at the bottom for accurate readings.

SS60s are now made as a generic 'mix and match' (MM) transducer with a short 2M pigtail ending in an Airmar 5-pin connector. Airmar mix and match 600W adapter cables connect to the pigtail and terminate in a connector that is specific to a brand of sounder or fishfinder. The total cable length with adapter installed is 10 meters. You can replace the adapter cable at a later time if you change your sounder, without having to remove or replace the transducer.

This '-8G' version of the transducer is for Garmin sounders and fishfinders that use an 8-pin transducer connector (currently only the GSD 24).
