Maretron DG1 Mid Bulk Gray Cable Per Meter

This gray mid cable is sold by the meter. This cable can be used either as network trunk cable on boats with long network runs, or as both trunk and drop cable on boats where there are regulatory requirements concerning the gauge of the power wires. Use the Maretron field-attachable micro/mid connectors with this cable to create finished lengths.

Use the Quantity field to order the number of meters of cable required (1 meter = 3.28 ft). Cable is always shipped as one continuous length.

• 2 x 16AWG power conductors, 4.1 ohms/1000ft, red/black
• 2 x 20AWG data conductors, white/blue
• 1 x 20AWG drain wire
• PVC gray or blue outer cover to color-code wiring
• Micro/Mid connectors rated at 4A max

Maretron makes three sizes of cable: micro, mid and mini. Mid cable uses micro connectors, but has larger gauge power conductors than micro cable to meet some regulatory requirements. (The US Coastguard Title 33 CFR Part 183 Subpart I Regulations relates to the manufacturing of recreational inboard gasoline engine vessels in the United States and explicitly prohibits power conductors that are not at least 18AWG. Micro cable has 22AWG power conductors). Mid cable will also give a lower power voltage drop than micro along long cable lengths when used as the network backbone or trunk.

Maretron micro and mid cable is for use on smaller boats where the total cable length between any two points on the network does not exceed 100 meters i.e. most recreational boats. It can also be used as drop cable on boats that have a mini trunk cable. All Maretron sensors, displays and transducers have connectors for micro/mid cable. Cable adaptors are needed to connect micro/mid cable to mini cable.
